Just a mock up - still waiting for the cylinder block which will go in from the machine shop where it went for deglazing and one sleeve press. This is just an empty spare without any sleeves. But the cylinder head is the one, already valve seats machined and valves lapped. Just need clearance adjustment, and that I will do with the head mounted.

Bucko - yes, chrome plated at Dependable Plating. I have a thing for plated coolant tanks, although I have one perfect set which I painted black to look stock. But that's for another build ;) These are easily changed, so always ready for experimentation and a new look.

Thank you Paul! Hope you want get blacklisted for that endorsement! hahahaha!!! It's North America. The land of the free, where in 2020 you can't have your opinion. People forget to understand that for Bloomberg, which has $60,000 millions, spending a $1,000,000 is the same as if a guy with $60k in his bank spent $1 on any charity. Quite a perspective? Eh?

More slick photos, for reference, because it's healthier than anything else of that.

Waiting for more clips, then the cylinder head will go on.

Damn!... What would you do? I'm thinking some liquid gasket will do, but that just bugs me as a perfectionist. But I can't see why not.

What your take people?

You shouldn't torrent yourself like that Stan. You're going to give yourself a heart attack and then end up in a Canadian hospital !!

If it were me, I'd carefully lift the gasket off on the block and work with it on a flat surface and try to get the 2 edges to merge with each other and ensure that it was lying flat, then hit it with superglue (Crazy Glue) to fuse it back together. Just make sure you don't glue it to the kitchen table. You can then reinstall it with your favorite sealer. Hylomar is my preference. It's oil resistant and doesn't harden up and easy to remove gaskets down the road. Endorsed by Rolls Royce (if that worth anything to you)
