After failing to photograph my girl at the Kawasaki plant in Lincoln, NE that I rode past last July, I've only ridden locally though not much in the summer as the engine heat behind the Vetter fairing makes for a very uncomfortable ride. About a week ago the oil pressure sending unit went out. I must say I'm surprised at the non-availability of them, but have one coming from the Netherlands through CMSNL.

And the renovations continue..................
Not much going on in the posts lately. What's up guys????? Cat got your KAW????
Still stuck with house renovations. Wife says we need a new Ensuite so out with the shower, bathtub, vanity and toilet. Tub area becomes a new 48 x 60" shower. Shower stall will be a new linen closet. Vanity ordered and countertop. And if that's not enough, that brand new window that was put in 5 months ago for a cost of $1500 will be coming out and then I have to brick in the outside wall. Seems the frosted glass in the shower stall doesn't meet the visual standard. If you were in the shower, you can still see the image of a person from outside.
Shower stall on the left, 47 x 51" window on the right
Shower stall gutted. 2 days worth of work there.

Re: Kawboy
1 month 11 hours agoExactly !! I built a 3800 sq ft bungalow all by myself with a 3 car garage in 1-1/2 years of my spare time. Insulated concrete formed exterior walls, 12/12 pitch roof line, Arriscraft Stone exterior finish of which I laid 17 of the 74 skids of stone. I lived in Markham at the time. Drove to Pickering (40 km) and worked from 7am to 3;30, then drove to Brechin (90Km) and got there for 5pm. Worked on the house until 10pm then drove back to Markham (104Km). Got to bed at 11:30pm. Got up at 5am and did it all over again for 1-1/2 years. The only thing I contracted out was putting up the roof trusses since they were 54 ft long and had piggyback trusses on top of the primary trusses. the truss height was 23 feet. It's amazing how long jobs take
Now a typical renovation for me will take 3 years. Twice the work. Tearing everything apart and then finding all the mistakes that were created during initial construction, fixing the mistakes and then installing the new renovation.
