I wish to enquire about that stalwart of KZ1300.com - Kawboy - whose boundless wisdom has been a feature of this site for so long. Are you ok? Perhaps you’re busy renovating your new house. Let’s hope that it won’t be long before you can continue working on your own project 1300 - I’m sure many of us are looking forward to seeing the end result.

Yeah, I'm fine. Up to my eyeballs in this house renovation. The new kitchen cabinets went in last week and I had to install the sink, dishwasher, cooktop, wall oven/microwave and backsplash. Next week the fireplace gets replaced in the Family room and then I have to box it in and stoneface . When not working on the living areas, I've been insulating / drywalling the garage and installing a 25K gas unit heater. It's a lot and I'm too old for this shit. I told the wife if we ever move again, my new residence will be a pine box.
I stop in at KZ1300.com 2 or 3 times a day to check in for a little mental relief but the site is really quiet the last few months. I guess everyone's hibernating? No one's riding or working on a project? Don't know why KZQ keeps the site alive if no one uses it. I know it is his baby but......
Thanks for asking

All the slackers probably ride without any problems or breakdowns.

This site is an opportunity for KZ /Z/ZN 1300 riders to share experiences and when they run in to problems, seek information to help resolve problems. Like most sites, they turn into sites where members with modest mechanical skills, look for advice to fix an issue they are experiencing. It would be nice if we had more input in to the site from those out riding and enjoying their bikes to help bolster the idea of riding bikes that are unique and seldom seen on the road. I for one have only seen 1 KZ1300 go ripping past me on a provincial highway in the past 30 years and I'll state for a fact that I travel about 80K - 100K kilometers each year , so if anybody should / could have an opportunity to see one, it would be me. Just last week I saw an RD350 with a young guy and his girlfriend on the back. Hadn't seen one of those in about 10 years. Nice !! Then about 3 weeks ago saw a CBX out on a ride. That tingled my heart. About 1 month ago I saw a Yamaha RD400 Daytona on a trailer headed somewhere. It was in really nice shape and all original except for a set of exhaust chambers.
So they're out there and it urges me to not lose focus on finishing my long over due project come Hell or high water ( or in my case another home renovation)

5 days 21 hours ago - 5 days 21 hours agoI've been working on my '85 Voyager's fuel injection system. I've fitted a new fuel pump and cleaned the injectors. I'll put it back together this weekend and see if it pops.

PS: Oh yeah, I'm also remodeling a friend's kitchen, installing door closers at our church and installing teak self edge on an summer kitchen countertop.
