They are indeed impressive numbers. To put those numbers in some kind of perspective- my Hayabusa , with a similar engine size , fuel injected, with 6 individual sensors and a sixth gear does a similar mpg- 3200 rpm and 100km/hr. Not closed loop.
Scotch's numbers will be hard to beat.

At this point I don't think I'm going to be able squeeze anything more out of the carbs.

Unless I can get my hands on some "Dilthium Crystal"

Naw. You know I'd have to "go Nuclear". For the record, if I ever get my ass in gear, I have a Microsquirt engine management system with KZ1300 throttle bodies and 18 lb high impedance injectors sitting in a box (along with the 15 other boxes of parts) for an open loop system. Batch fired injectors and wasted spark ignition all controlled with the Microsquirt. But first things first. Finish the head work and just get it running first, then the paint work.

Already noted in previous post(s).

1)  A precise "Color-Tuning" with modified pilot needles
2)  A precise  sync.  10" wasn't practical so went back to 8.5"
3) An adjustment to the ignition timing
4)  Enrichment circuit mod.
  • New "brass" throughout.
  • Difficult to be subjective but my custom air intake / K&N filter could play a part.

1)  A precise "Color-Tuning" with modified pilot needles (ah, the old modified pilot needles trick, eh? :) As in replaced or change of taper via manual manipulation?_
2)  A precise  sync.  10" wasn't practical so went back to 8.5" (meaning manometer height?)
3) An adjustment to the ignition timing (any adjustment away from FSM settings or just a tighter timing?)
4)  Enrichment circuit mod. (Will search for that post again... :) )
  • New "brass" throughout.
    • Difficult to be subjective but my custom air intake / K&N filter could play a part.

Thanks for the help, Sir Scotch!
