Re: wintergreen oil. Very valid points. I have no idea about long term consequences. I couldn't imagine it would penetrate all the way through? Worth researching more..

The current state of affairs. (the head cover is just sitting there loose to keep dust from the camshafts and things falling into the engine)

Have to hand it to the guy. He did some experimenting and followed up with monitoring the results and kept records. Hmmmmm.... wonder if he worked in the aircraft or nuclear industry. He also suggests alternatives to the Isopropyl alcohol and cautions against using these products at home. We went through drums of tolulene at the nuclear plant and only the shift supervisor could authorize the use of it in the plant. Really toxic stuff. A carcenogenic for sure.
