That doesn't look like a B2-Touring (I own one) - the rear end and luggage frame aren't B2 and the B2 had split front and rear seats. I suspect this was a Vetter dressed bike

Ah yes, zed-thirteen- I beg your pardon. It was the side cover that threw me. Looking again, the fuel tank is not the large capacity type as fitted to the B2, and didn’t the B2 have a slightly different front mudguard?
Yes, likely it was Vetter equipped -

B2 front mudguard is different at the lower rear - has a shaped lip/protrusion (not sure how to describe it

Cheers Jim, the B2 member (Zed 13) has reached out & offered a stack of knowledge. I know zip about these old ladys so sounds like we're in the right spot. Not a Bimbo in the back ground, it's a Rau (Manfred Rau). We used to design & build custom small bore bikes, 400 to 750cc, then we wanted something for real riders so after a lot of searching we stumbled on the Manfred Rau story and decided they were excellent bases for us to produce large capacity bikes. We imported them as Raider Rau's, & using a Bimota type system that one's an RY1.1 (Raider Yamaha 1100cc).
I'm a Bimota diehard, although for me they can/should only have Ducati engines, although I am considering a KB998 out of fiannly accepting I'll never have enough funds to commission them to build me a DBV4R
My daily's a DB9 but there's a few others.
Apologies to all if I shouldn't post non-KZ images?

Hi Zed, thanks for the info, so is there a consensus on exactly what it is? Doesn't makes a great difference to us in respect to making her a grand old tourer again, but I'd like to inform the owner for his knowledge. I haven't seen exterior pics of the fairing so I will get some, but the inside finish of the faring is different on this one, it has 3 toggle switches & a separate key in lefthand side, some type of additional security system I think. The top box is definitely same as the one in the link, almost identical seat and looking at various mounting brackets I'd wager it's a Vetter.
Am I correct in assuming Vetter was a US based accessories company that supplied Kawaka US with what effectively OEM accessories?

Thanks for the information on the Rau bikes, and for the photo of your DB9 - that’s a fabulous looker, so rich in design detail. The Italians are masters at such things.
