KawaBCN’s  post:

On my last Sunday ride with the GPZ 1100, the engine stalled due to lack of fuel, even though the tank was more than half full.

I tried to find the fault by checking all the pipes and cables I could see and touch, until I realized that when I turned the ignition key during the check, the fuel pump was not running.

I connected a piece of wire from the fuse box to the positive terminal of the fuel pump and had enough pressure to start the bike and get home.

In the garage, with a beer in my hand, I was able to confirm that the fuel relay had died.

That's when my odyssey began.

It is no longer manufactured, and on all Kawasaki parts websites, part number 27002-1007 is listed as obsolete.

The GPZ 1100 shares fuel injection and wiring parts with the ZG 1300, this is one of them.

27002-1007 not avaibable

I barely found a couple of used ones on eBay with no warranty.

The original 11-pin relay is no longer available, so I found a replacement reference for a Bosch relay.

BOSCH F 026 T00 064 RELAY

The original relay.

The replace part.

Mounted in the bike.

COST ABOUT 70 EUROS.
