Fuel Tank Query ? was created by Tonto

Guys, I am thinking of fitting a smaller tank off an A3 to my 1979 A1 (my bike is already wearing the later model year Ebony paint set) - it looks like the later tank should fit as there appears to be no change to the frame or mounting points. Can anyone confirm if the fuel level sender is the same unit on all models ?

Tim,

The smaller USA tank and the Euro/UK larger tank are 100% interchangeable.
The fuel level senders are the same.
The Chrome Badge Holders are different though and NOT interchangeable.
