Key number location

Where can i find the key number on a 1979 KZ1300, i have a barn find i would like to restore, need to qualify it first.

if you have the key it should be stamped on the flat side of the key just below the key ring slot
OEM key with black plastic top.
or it may be on the face of the seat lock

Key numbers are stamped onto the barrels of the locks, should all match i.e isolation switch and ignition switch, however one of those units may have been changed so I would remove both and check numbers stamped on them, get your spanners out

Thanks Gents, i should have clarified, i have no key. l will just have to start pulling stuff apart.
