Immobiliser on 1984 Z1300 Australia

I was trying to get the seat up on a recently purchased Z1300 Probably an American import. Unintentionally I switched the immobiliser on; since then I have been unable to reverse the process and have no electrical power I have tried unplugging the immobiliser and am at a loss as to how I can restore power to the bike. I already posted here once but cannot find the original post. Hopefully someone who Knows what I can do will read this

Turn the key to the right until it's in a horizontal position.

Or if the switch is in-operative, connect all the wires together and bypass it.

I tried bypassing the immobiliser by connecting all the wires to it together but that did not work. There is power to two of the five fuses in the fuse box and power to both fuses in a black plastic clip together cover- maybe an addition for the sidecar lighting.
The tail light comes on no matter where the ignition key is. A friend said the ECU box may need to be re programed, another said to look at the ignition switch which is what I will try next. I am waiting on the Voyager supplement manual for some kind of wiring diagram the manual that came with the bike only covered up to 1983 models. The local Kawasaki shop has been unable to give me any useful information. The bike was running fine until I turned that immobiliser...... Luckily I have other bikes to ride but this one with the sidecar is taking up a lot of space and with Spring approaching I want to go on some rallies with it.

There might be a resistor in line to go to the ECU to immobilize it?

The ignition switch on my later ZX9R had a 100ohm resistor built in to it and if this was bypassed (IE: hotwired) the bike would not start.

Dunno - just guessing....

Have you got a wiring diagram??
