Finally.. after 16 months of learning, trying, failing..
Got a carb rack to work wonderfully!
All 6 idle air adjustments impact rpm!
All 3 bodies sycn'd as they should.
Exhaust pulses from each muffler are nice, even, and smooth.
A tad bit of choke and instant fire.
Reduce choke, nice eve idle.
Now I know how smooth a kz1300 can really be - approaching a CBX..
but not the same wonderfullness of a CBX though.
Seems to me Kawasaki gave the linkage engineering to a new graduate..
..and they just missed the mark.
Why are all the adjustments at 'end of travel' and not in 'center' of travel?
(Fast idle, Sync Rods)
I've adjusted CBX carbs, all 6 discrete..
Much easier than the KZ set up.
Anyway, HooRay for me, I have a good set to use as baseline.
Now I can try to duplicate on the other racks.
Will post a running video later--
Thanks to Scotch and KB for 'endearing to persevere' with me.
I've captured EVERY post I from here I can to learn..
(and from their perspective 'been there done that, answered that, here comes another batch of f'n questions)
Today it paid off.
So F'n happy!
