Fuel pump to replace Kawasaki pump zn1300

The fuel pump on a mid 80s Subaru brat
Is the same as this one and on my 81 gpz 1100 just have to put a 90 degree fitting on it for the fuel line to clear the frame

Have you done the fuel pump swap using the Subaru Brat pump on a ZN1300? I've read some other posts about the ZN1300 pump output being variable but the parts diagram appears to show a fixed pressure regulator.
