Just acquired my first KZ1300.  I've restored MANY different kinds of vintage Kawasakis, if it went fast in the 70's or 80's, I've had one.  Just never had a chance to get one of these, fell into my lap basically for next to nothing.  Really good shape cosmetically, runs but carbs leak, 10K original miles.  Tank and body work appears nice, not sure about that front fairing but it appears to match the stock paint?  It's an 81 model I believe, which makes it an A3?  Anyways, will be posting MANY questions as I go, thanks for letting me join!

First layer of dirt is off, here are a few picks.  Best $1300 bucks I've ever spent!  Couldn't get there fast enough!

Welcome, and yes, I would have bought it, too. If we get the engine-number we can confirm it is an A3.

Best regards from Switzerland/ Germany

So I got the carbs done, bike is up and running fine.  Just need a new gas tank to try and ride it, and the tank has been found and on it's way.  Here's my next question.  This 81 C model, according to the service manual, has a "Fuel Tap, Solenoid Fuel Valve".  I have no idea how this routes to the tank/petcock?  I just used an external fuel supply directly into the carbs to fire it up for a few minutes, can somebody lead me in the right direction to hooking this up?  Picture attached!
