I guess you’ve run out of metal to polish

It's not the polish I'm running out of.  I think I'm running outta chrome on my headers !

I forgot to include the most important aspect of the "panel" :

The second OEM gasket came in....intact !   After torqueing,  I let it all sit for three days with coolant in and what a thrill !  Nothing GREEN

on the floor !
Can't express how I felt with the "Italianmetals" leaker, dribbling everywhere .....before the rad-cap was even on.  !   Well..... I could..... but the graphic language would have Bill on my case !
Yesterday: Fired up right away but not running well.  No Fire in 3&4 so have just finished giving the carbs a cleaning.  Been sitting since July 29 with the tank off so I can't say for certain what the issue was.  Nothing ugly came out of the center carb but we all know it takes very little to upset everything.  Bench sync'ing ( with a vacuum source) is done and just taking a break before they go back on.
Had some interesting things happen along the way with this top-end rebuild but Ill save these little tid-bits for another time when I think we could use a good chuckle !.
Cheers All !

It remains a mystery as to what was causing the no-fuel issue with the center carb.  Had the correct level of fuel in the bowl but wasn't getting to where it needed to go.  Nothing solid flushed-out so what ever was causing the blockage dissolved with the Lacquer Thinner. This morning I started the beast and happy to hear all 6 firing !    Sync was right-on so tightened the nuts and did a Color-Tune with minimal adjustments.  A small adjustment to the ignition timing was required.
Now just have to wait about 4 months to get out on the road and get the new parts broken-in.
It's been an adventure !   .......to say the least.

I’m glad to hear this , Scotch.  But will it really be four months before you get a suitable day for a test ride?  I’m impatient to know how much better the bike performs with the valve job and restored compression!

Scotch, normally would not make this offer.... BUT, exceptions are to be made time to time, yes?

Ship the bike to me, at your cost, and I'll break her in for you.

You are welcome HaHa!
