it would be worth $5 just to see if he would send you one more seal so you had a full set. I'd try him on for size.

I know this is an old post.. but this comment rocked me outta the chair...
"What washed out of the coolant and oil passages really surprised me."

I say that, cause as you know, Sir Scotch, my KZ A1 ran really hot after rebuild. Did everything to fix overheating condition (custom 3 row rad, timing check, water pp impeller inspection, careful burping) but it wasn't until I fabricated an adapter to fit a garden hose and flushed the block 60 psi faucet pressure for over an hour did the overheating go away. I always theorized a couple of partial coolant blockages....
