Good day all,

I know there are many posts on the Hydraulic clutch conversion but none for Voyager engine
Did anyone do this before?
I was trying to go with the pull slave, but the stroke is to short and I do not think it will work.
I can still do the common conversion as the KZ but the gear cover is way to flimsy and holding with two bolts too far from the slave cylinder, it look like it will break on the first clutch pull.
I was thinking of adding another plate on top of the cover, maybe weld to the cover or bolt in and add another anchor point to the engine cover
Maybe weld the support inside and just add the anchor point outside, that will be determined by space.
Any thoughts …..?

When I was looking at doing the same 10 years ago I realised that the cover isn't parallel with the actuating mechanism on our engines, so if you were to fit a slave on the cover it would operate the clutch pushrod at a skewed angle. Maybe it won't matter for the sake of a few degrees, so I'll be very interested to see how you get on.

the question if its worth the afford.
I may order a clutch cable and work on this as a side project
It got to the point I want to see this bike on the road

Let me give you something to think about.
I've had it in the back of my mind that yes, I want to do a hydraulic clutch conversion but mounting the zx10 slave cylinder on the outside of the cover and next to my left foot just didn't appeal to me. My thought was to remove the clutch release actuator and try to fit a smaller slave cylinder under the cover and mounted to the same 2 screw holes that hold the clutch release actuator. Those 2 threaded holes currently bear the force of the present setup so no concerns there. It might take some engineering to marry up a reasonable master cylinder to give the proper axial release travel on the clutch actuator rod without too much force at the clutch lever.
I've seen some KTM and Ducati slaves that might fit under the cover and an adaptor plate wouldn't be too hard to create.

I'll leave that with you to ponder

How about somehow mounting the same slave you've got with the cable higher up & attaching the cable further up the actuating lever so then the arc won't be so long at that point therefore not needing as long a stroke. The mechanical advantage would be lower though making the clutch action at the lever heavier. Just a thought.

That was the first thing that cross my mind
I will not be able to use the original location for the slave cylinder, I will need to make a bracket inside the cover to hold it
I will take a look tonight if i have the space for this
