I would send another email to Dynatek and ask them what potting resin they would have used and what will breakdown that compound. There's a plethora of information regarding removing potting resin on the web as I'm sure you have investigated. Maybe Dynatek will play nice if they think you just need to know that info. Worth a try.
Good luck.  Those SMT's will be a bitch to remount. Chances are the power transistors are the culprits.

Thanks for sharing your efforts here. It points out the difficulties of repairing these types of components and how patient you must be when unpotting a circuit board. Exacto knives and dental picks with a ton of patience usually works. I like using a hot air gun to soften the potting material.
