Wakened the big old zed from it’s winter hibernation today, he’s spent the winter wrapped up in blankets and liberally sprayed with ACF 50. Tank, side panels and battery, were stored in the loft. Gave him a good wash down, and refitted the battery and tank. Turned the engine over for a minute or two, turned on the fuel and it started right up. It’s still a bit on the chilly side up here in Sunny Scotland, but couldn’t resist a quick blast. Filled the tank up with fresh petrol and he ran like a dream. I’ll do a full service in the next couple of weeks and we’re good to go for the summer. What’s not to like about old bikes?

So nice to hear all you had to do was throw in some fresh petrol and spin it up. You must have done something right when you stored it. good job. Now off to the Highlands.
