In Scotland they salt the roads in the winter time. I'm guessing they do the same in the States and Canada, this salt does my bikes no good at all and it is really bad on aluminium. Because I like to get out during the winter months I ride an old Russian bike with a side car. What do you guys ride in the winter?

This is mine. Also a boxer. Great for slippery roads and rain.

This one's still a work in progress but I believe it'd do as a winter bike.

Here in Oregon they've never used salt on the roads, until recently that is, now they're going to start using it on routes coming out of other states that do use salt.
