I pulled the packing from my DG yesterday, and I agree the sound is nice.

I drilled the rivets out and pulled the baffle, cut the insulation off then knocked it back in place. I had some new rivets but decided to leave them out and see how I liked it first, is was pressed into the pipe firmly and I didn't think it would go any where. I drove to my parents for dinner, then went for a quick ride in the countryside. A few miles out my "assumption" proved wrong and the baffle popped out and slid down the highway...

I picked it up and cleaned the carbon off it in the grass so I could zip it up in my jacket to bring it back home. I rode back with an open exhaust... WOW what sound! I just idled through town to my house, the noise is a bit much for city driving. For the sake of my neighbors I have re-installed the baffle.

I would suggest everyone try it just once if you've never heard the big 6 with an open exhaust, the sound is something else... probably not worth a ticket though. ;)

I've always wanted to say this to someone, never had the chance ... "told you so" :-) :-) see my original post, neighbours sort of frown with the noise :-) :-), but it's worth the trouble just to hear it without the baffle :-)
after tuesday even the calendar goes WTF

After removing the fiberglass I put my baffle back in with stainless bolts. I think I should pop that thing back out and go for a rip. Maybe tomorrow.

Now That... is a sweet sound.
It looks like it's straight pipe. Or very little baffle.

all I can say is:
Dude ! that is awsome !
