My understanding is the challenge with PODs is when they're used with Constant Velocity carbed bikes.

I had a conversation with one of the world's most experienced 1300 tuners, and he told me that fueling modifications were basically a waste of time. He has experience with all types and years of these bikes, and with all the time, energy, and money he has invested, I'm inclined to trust his opinion very highly.
***fueling modifications were basically a waste of time***

Interesting !
I've spent the last 2 months doing just that ! "Fueling modifications" !
Stock jets. New pilot jets !!!!! /Main needle on #3
G.M Coil. with ballast resistor
Esso "Regular"

1) Changed the timing
2) Modified Pliot needles www.kz1300.com/index.php/forum/carburato...le-performance#24910
Precise "Color Tuning" and sycn'd to 8"hg with my cheap, unreliable, garbage Chinese 'cotton-dampened" dial gauges !
3) Gutted the Enrichers. Solid gasket under the cover
4) Standard NGK plugs gapped @ .029" from the .045" recomended for this coil
5) New rear c/w Nitrogen and "beads" ( Continental "Cont-Max" 150)
***Custiom Air intake www.kz1300.com/index.php/forum/carburato...ke-with-filter#11001
Bug Smasher reduces drag (Google the topic !) www.kz1300.com/index.php/forum/daily-cha...ore-comfortable-ride
Multiple IDENTICAL road trips by route and mileage ALL at 100KPH with the typical reductions for corners and through several small towns
51+ MPG and no noticeable loss of power.....or anything else !
Waiting on a new front ( Nitrogen and beads ! Should get another 5% min. !

........and no shell bits in my omelette !

Interesting- Wikipedia reports the fuel consumption at 5.56 L/100 km; 50.8 mpg‑imp (42.3 mpg‑US). So you've achieved the advertised fuel consumption (which never happens in reality) and at 100 kph. Nice !! Never mind the mileage on your bike on top of it all.

Judging by your new Avatar, you've gone ape over all the excitement here. Or did you buy a new mask with all the money you've save on gas?
