The plot thickens.
Frame is KZT30A-011768 and stamped 11/80. So I'm assuming it's an A2?
I'll get some more pics later today and post up.

It looks like a good project bike candidate! I love that folks like you (us) are keeping this platform on the road.

Lol trust me whatever the frame number is, that bike is not running with an A2 motor or ignitor or pickups, important you know as if you have any problems in these areas there are 4 different types of pick ups and 4 different ignitors for the different models, there will also be different generator casings etc, there are a lot of subtle differences across the model range even as far as horn mounting brackets front badge mounting bracket, front badge, looms etc. Fuel tanks were also different USA ones were smaller than the European ones, this means that tank badge mount profiles are different along with the badges. Forget the engine numbers for this minute in time and get a close up Pic of that IC ignitor and post and determine where your pick-ups are mounted if on the left hand side of the bike to the casing you could be running an A3. That bike going by the frame number and from what I can see of the IC Ignitor is an A3, The A3 frame number started at 011501 and ran till 014101. My big piece of advice is treasure that IC ignitor lol and protect it with your life the A3 had a one off ignition system, those ignitors are like rocking horse shit.

Any Australian bike after 1976 should have a compliance plate stating the year it came into Australia. If it does not have one it should not be a problem as it is over 30 years old. Usually Kawasaki put them on the steering head.
