This looks like it's been 'sleeved' and the sleeve is cracked too.

Use it or toss it?

If toss, how best to remove the sleeve?

Sleeved?  Measure one known to not-be !    And:  The restrictor is missing!

Scotch,

Thanks for replying. Appreciated.

Here's more pics..

I measured 4.28 but the crack has expanded the OD - so this may not be sleeved yet?

Pic of a different carb - which makes me think the 'bad' carb does have the restrictor?

Another view of 'bad' carb.. Restrictor installed or no?

Final view of crack.

could you silver solder it using a small clamp to bring the OD back down close to the OD of the tube while soldering it?

"Stick with the Original Plan" and don't over-think the simplest of things ! !   There is a reason:    You will NEVER get ANY solder to flow into the crack, regardless of how much Flux or heat is used.

The length of the "tube-sleeve" will depend on the length of the crack......obviously.

Is It Sleeved?  If you can see a "crack".......it's NOT sleeved.
