Got 'r done. Nice!! I'm afraid to ask how many hours to get to "this" from "that". Glad to hear another one got resurrected from something sold for parts 

Outstanding! Nothing like a completed project.

It was a tough decision, but I finally opted for the former D.G. from my '80.

 

I'm afraid to ask how many hours to get to "this" from "that".

"It" was delivered at 1:30AM, Dec 2/25.  At 8:00Am I started on it.  By 5:00 PM I had it down to the just engine and swing-arm in frame.  Then the fun began.  I averaged 6 hours a day until July.  There was always something to do !  Then I started on the prep for the fender, tank, side covers and tail-piece. I already had the frame, swing-arm, front shocks, stands and pedals powder-coated.  
Then it was mostly waiting for primer and multiple coats of paint, to dry. 
Waiting now for the &^%$# Postal workers to get back to work (?) so I can order the Badges for the side-covers. I just starting the process of making a mold for the tank-badge stand offs. 
The very last thing will be to apply a new VIN sticker. !!!!  Then IT will be officially finished.
