Here's what you'll have to do to swap the new electronics into your old enclosure:

Step 1) Remove igniter box from bike, loosen igniter box fixing bolts and disconnect the two plugs.

Step 2) Place unit on table and open igniter box cover.  Carefully bend the steel tabs upwards and slide steel cover off.  Remove rubber cover.

Step 3) Unscrew the cooling plate fixing screws from outside the igniter box.

Step 4) Unscrew the circuit board fixing screws and remove old igniter.

Step 5) Fasten new igniter in place with the old fixing screws (6).

Step 6) Position rubber cover over igniter and fix steel cover in place with tabs.

Step 7) Seal the cable opening of the igniter box with suitable silicone based sealant, and allow sufficient time for sealant to setup before putting unit into service.

Step 8) Connect the wiring plugs and install igniter box on bike.

Note! The igniter is a copy of the original one and requires that the original ballast resistor be in the circuit if the stock OEM style  1.5 ohm coils are used.  If your coils have been replaced with aftermarket coils, make sure that they are of the proper rating. (2.5 - 3.0 ohm)  If there is any question as the whether the ballast resistor is to remain in the circuit, refer to my extensive technical article on updating to new Nology coils -
