I used one of those baffles to quieten down a race can for the MOT (department of transport inspection) on a Triumph Speed Triple some years ago, they work very well to muffle the sound.

I've taken the trike out for a couple of test runs and I'm pleased with it mechanically. Now I've got to figure out what the body work should look like.

The steering damper turned out to be the correct choice instead of altering the trail. The bars still want to wank side to side if I take only one rear wheel over an obstacle but the damper keeps it to a minimum.
The exhaust is a little loud but tolerable.
I've also got to find some wheels and tires that don't shout TRAILER.
What do you think?

Running boards to stop you accidently putting your foot down and running up the back of your leg with the rear tyre and some rear wheel mudguards to stop water spray raining down all over you and as you say some sort of spoked mag would look better

A nice set of Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R M50-15 on chrome rims would be where I would go. Then you could do some really nice wide fenders.

Wow John,

Where would I get such a pair of wheels to mount those beauties upon? My bolt pattern is 5 X 4.75.

Check out this video:

I can actually get the inside tire to slide a bit. You can hear it if you listen closely.

That's a pretty common bolt pattern. Heere's a listing for Cragar SS in 15" with a bolt pattern that would work.
