Trying to replace my fuel regulator on the 85 zn1300. The screw on the left side (while on the bike) is stripped. I tried a grabit screw out bit and that had no affect. Any ideas? Thanks.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationUse a Helicoil, it's a stainless steel thread insert easy to do and not too expensive as you may need to use more than 1.
Here is some on fleabay but most auto shops will have them and many hardware stores

Hi Saxgod,

I'm assuming that you're referring to one of the 5mm short phillips screws that secure the regulator to the injector rail. I'd grind off the screw head and use a drift to drive out the stripped screw.

You should have no problem tapping the hole for a 6mm screw.

I was thinking of using my dremel and cutting the head but im worried about sparks being that close to everything lol. but I may have to go that route.

I wouldn't worry too much about the sparking issue as long as there isn't an active fuel leak. If the threads on the second screw are good I'd just use a cable wrap through the stripped hole till you take it apart for another reason.
