My speedo is sluggish. Eventually it will indicate accurately, but is slow getting there.

Removed speedo head unit, tried to remove reset knob. Manual says to rotate clockwise to unscrew it. No such happiness.

Any tricks out there?

Hm. Tough to say. Every speedo I've had to deal with hasn't had it frozen.

Basically, what you're looking for is this- figure out which way you turn it to reset the trip meter, then rotate it the opposite of that. If the numbers don't move while you twist it, you've got it.

The threads are also very fine. You'll be spinning it for a while.

Beyond that (and the general PB Blaster advice for normal stuck screws), I've got nothing.

Yes, mine is frozen. Turning it ccw resets the numbers as it should.
Turning it CW should loosen the knob but it doesn't.

I'll probably end up sending it to a speedo repair shop.
While there, will have the needles replaced too.

But it just bugs me when I can't fix it myself.
