That's interesting, the previous owner had that spare throttle body / injector assembly. I wonder if he had trouble with it? Can you ask him?
Well, I wonder if there is anybody near you who could help, if not on this forum then how about the American Voyager Association www.amervoyassoc.org/
Wish I was a few thousand miles closer - I would be happy to try helping.

Just because your motorcycle came with a spare set of throttle body assemblies does not mean there is anything wrong with the one on the motorcycle.

There is no guarantee that the spare set is any better than the one on the motorcycle.

Without the factory service manual, the chances of a successful diagnosis/fix are zero.

Lacking the factory service manual, you can try the following basic steps:

1. Install new fuel filter.

2. Use BG44K injector cleaner. Run 2 or 3 tanks full of fuel with the correct amount of BG44K mixed in the fuel.

Hi GM,

The complete factory service manual can be downloaded from the home page of this site.

You mentioned difficulty finding a new fuel filter. Allegedly, Kawasaki part # 49019-1001 is used on 1980-1988 ZN1300, KZ1100, and KZ1000.

Hi KZQ,

You know it, and I know it. Please forgive my lack of detail in not sharing this with Stoner, the original poster.

Allow me to correct the oversight with the following: The manuals available are at the lower right on the home page. The last one on the list is the ZN1300 factory service manual = ZN1300SMS.pdf

I have found a filter
it has been replaced
even looking at the PDF i can't seem to locate the cam adj
I seen 2 that look alike but dont know which one to adj
I am used to cam adj having a opening at the end
i lossen the bolt and nut
then using an allen wrench push the rod in and tight things back
I will check on the Bg44k thursday

as for the extra parts the guy I bought her from also had an Extra brain box
side mirrors etc.. he had a chance to pick them up so he did
parts for these bikes are a little hard to find here.
Thanks
