Z1300 Parts or Parts Bikes For Sale
For Sale: $1500
DFI Fuel injection kits
to retrofit the fuel injection system from ZN1300 Voyagers to KZ1300's or
Z1300's. I'm selling these 'stock' kits to fund development
of an aftermarket 'MegaSquirt' fuel injection computer that will also use an oxygen sensor
in the system. This will be a big plus as the original Kawasaki DFI boxes
are getting harder to come by these days. Also, it will have some better programming in it, and
infinite adjustability via a laptop, and software. The oxygen sensor will help it
maintain more precise fuel delivery, and give us better mileage.

Paid Ad Pricing
For those that want me to create a Picture Ad for them and host it on my site, there will be a basic charge of $50 for the ad for up to 10 pictures and your text. If you sell the bike to a buyer that was a direct result of your picture ad on my site, then I ask that you pay me a 2% commission from the sale. Commission applies to "Picture Ads" only. Text ads posted on the bulletin boards are free ads and commissions do not apply to free ads on this site. Everything must be provided in electronic format, otherwise you can email me for a quote on your ad if you need me to scan snapshots.
Required info for a Picture Ad:
After you send me this info I will create an ad for you and update this page with your new ad asap!
The higher the resolution images you have the better. I don't care how big the file size is really, but large files can be an issue when you send them via email as some emails are limited to 5 megs. You can send them on a CD or DVD though if you have that capability. I'll work the images and compress them but if you work the images yourself then the best width to save them at is 750 pixels in width and preferably you should maintain the original the aspect ratio. This will display a full screen image in most browsers depending on what their monitors resolution is set at.
With an average of over 700,000 hits per month (the month ending 9/05) on this site, I can assure you that you'll get plenty of interest on any ad you post here! I can only guess how many 1300's get sold on those 'free ad' sites on the internet or worse yet, how much money they ended up selling for. It's not the kind of bike everyone is looking for and if they are shopping specifically for a nice 1300, chances are they're contacting the 1300 club sites that are on the internet or they're buying off ebay and taking their chances.
Most of the bikes that go on this Picture Ads page seem to sell reasonably fast if they're priced right and my experience on ebay is that some people tend to stretch the truth about their bike and others will just flat out lie to you. Everybody has their own perspective of what they think the condition of their bike is in and I can tell you from experience that buyers and sellers rarely think the same. Twice I've bought vehicles off ebay that the sellers flat out lied about, so you have to be real careful when you're buying from someone that doesn't have a good feedback history established. If they've already got 50 positive feedback established you can be reasonably sure that they're not going to risk their good feedback, but that's not always the case. There's always that person that needs the $2000 - $4000 they're going to make off the sale versus losing their house or whatever their money issue is and a bad feedback is not a problem to them at that point.
I've also posted a scam notice on my contact page that you should take notice of. Whether you're buying or selling there are always people out there on the internet that have come up with a way to scam someone out of a buck. For info on placing an ad on this page, please contact david@kz1300.com
On Ebay.com!
Ebay is one of the best resources to buy Z1300 parts or motorcycles, or anything else for that matter! Go to the main search engine - HERE
and put in the search terms - (z
1300, kz 1300, zn 1300, zg 1300, kawasaki 1300, kawasaki 6c*)
and - (z1300, kz1300, zn1300, zg1300, voyager 1300, voyager 6c*)
to cover all the different combinations of wording people use in their
auctions. There's a couple of others - kawasaki six* and voyager six* that
you might try separately if they spell the words out in the title like 'kawasaki
six cylinder' or 'voyager six cylinder' so you won't miss those.
However, you should be clicking on the option to 'search titles and descriptions' when you do a search just to make sure you don't miss anything. You can only use up to so many characters in one search so that's why I have to split them up like this. The * 'wildcard' has to be at the end of the search terms and only one per search. You can't search 'kawasaki 6*' now as they've changed their search engine and you have to have 2 letters before the wildcard instead of one like it use to be. Be sure to include the quotes ( ) before and after your words exactly as shown. Of course, you can use this same format to search multiple words at a time no matter what you're searching for. You can also expand the search now to include all ebay sites worldwide, but that will return pages in other languages.
If you're interested in selling your bike on ebay, I have a PDF file that you can download HERE that shows a motorcycle I shot for a friend here in Houston and put on ebay. It will give you an idea of what wording you might use in your auction and what picture angles you might use in your ebay ad to get a good display of your bike. Keep in mind this file is about 3megs in size so it will take some time to load. It would be much better to save this file to your PC and open it there than trying to view it online. Usually you can 'right click' on the link above with your mouse and it will give you the option to save the file to your PC.
Motorcycle Shipping
For reasonable prices on motorcycle delivery / transport to your door, call 1-888-haulbikes for a quote or visit haulbikes.com. For quicker delivery you can airfreight your bike for a lot less than you'd think and it's quick and easy. You can load your bike in their container at a Forward Air terminal at most major airports and ship it nationwide in 1 to 3 days for approximately $300 - $600 depending on the city and the distance traveled. Using a Forward Air Container requires minimum 14 day lead time as they must make a container available to you. These are flown in on demand and you only have 24hrs. to get your bike to the terminal once it arrives. You drain the gas and roll it in and strap it down. I believe they provide the tie downs. Great service for the money!

NOTE: On these newer browsers I've noticed that they don't always display my large images in full size when you open an image from the thumbnails. Once you click the thumbnail and open the larger image, if you 'mouse over' the image you should see a " + " symbol or some other indicator like a box with arrows usually on the bottom right edge of the image. If you click on the indicator, then the image will expand to it's full size which displays full screen on computers that use a 800x600 resolution setting for the monitor. If you click the indicator again it will go back to the smaller image. Some people use a resolution setting of 1024x768 or higher on their monitors and for those users the images will appear smaller in size instead of full screen. You can change your monitor settings easily enough if you desire. Also, the indicator I've noticed is slow to appear even after the image appears to of completely loaded. The indicator in Netscape seems to be a lot faster to display than the one in Internet Explorer.
